Broadway Boys Tituss Burgess, David Larsen, Tyler Maynard, Jesse Nager, Enrico Rodriguez and Daniel Torres. - Stepping into their own limelight from the Broadway productions of Rent, Mamma Mia, Good Vibrations, Fame and Altar Boyz comes the best of the best male vocalists. Their ranges will amaze and their ballads will make you cry.
Who needs Star Search or American Idol when you have the best voices in the country already working on Broadway? For over 100 years the best voices of each generation have come to New York to audition for a chance to become a Broadway star. But even within these esteemed ranks of vocal powerhouses, there has always been an even more exclusive group of talent that stands apart from their peers. The women that rise to these ranks are affectionately called "divas," and their vocal pyrotechnics have often overshadowed their male counterparts, until now.
True theatricality and dynamic vocal precision is now available in a much more masculine form. So get ready for the best of the best male singers on the great white way. Get ready for the Broadway Boys. |

REVIEWS
"The performers are Scott Porter (Matthew), Tyler Maynard (Mark), Andy Karl (Luke), Ryan Duncan (Juan), and David Josefsberg (Abraham). Understudies are Kevin Dern and Daniel Torres. The night I went, Daniel Torres filled in most appealingly as Mark. Though this is not a gay show as such, every innuendo, and in particular every gesture of Mark’s, got the teenies screaming appreciatively."-The Villager
"The boyz are as accomplished as they are lovable. Their names, for future reference, are Ryan Duncan, David Josefsberg, Andy Karl, Tyler Maynard (although I saw his understudy, Daniel Torres) and Scott Porter. Huzzahs to all."-New York Theatre Scene
"The rest of the cast was of similar distinction, notably Daniel (Cochran) Torres' poetic Tobias..."-The Sondheim Review
"Benjamin Sterling Cannon and Daniel (Cochran) Torres head the company as Valentine and Proteus, both bringing up the levels of energy and adding tremendous sex appeal along the way. Torres is incredibly likeable and performs both his music and his Shakespeare with ease and beauty, turning in a star turn that is fun and riveting." - Talkin' Broadway
"Paul Castree, Daniel Torres, Cullen R. Titmas and Jim Weitzer were fantastic! I can’t remember when I saw a group perform together with such command of the stage, of the audience and of their material. These four were in such fine sync that it appeared that they were together for years. The present ‘boy bands’ could take a lesson from these outstanding talents." - ChicagoCritic.com
"Cleveland Opera has a hit on its hands with its raucous, gorgeously sung new production of Sweeney Todd...Daniel Torres made a most promising debut in the smaller role of Tobias " - Beacon Journal
"A production that richly honors the whimsy and terror in Stephen Sondheim's 'Sweeney Todd' the company has a hit on its hands....Daniel Torres makes a first-rate Tobias" - The Plain dealer |
